The Territorial Construction Circular Center (TCC) established under the MOBICCON-PRO project is becoming a recognizable platform for exploration of circularity practices in construction in the region of SEE as it hosted a key part of the Knauf`s corporate Eastern Europe and Central Asia regional 2025 Sustainability Meeting.
Delegation of 25 professionals from 15 countries of Eastern Europe and Central Asia representing the global leader of production of construction systems – Knauf, visited MOBICCON-PRO project MPP for management of CDW in Kremikovtsi as part of their Sustainability Meeting Knauf EAST 2025. The group was welcomed by the project team members Assoc. Prof. Roumiana Zaharieva, Alexander Tanev and Kalin Marinov, representing also the TCC. During the discussion held at the brand-new conference hall at the TCC training center at the project site key topics were circular economy, circularity within construction business, environment impact of construction in different countries, good practices around the world as well as possible recycling solutions for gypsum. Knauf visitors also took a tour at the plant, including the CDW reception area, Screening and Washing System and also Drying system linked to the Tower with the innovative Cone-Crusher with power-pulse generator developed under the MOBICCON-PRO project. At the end both teams agreed that there is potential for future cooperation in the field of circularity of the construction sector and environment friendly technologies.
