MOBICCON-PRO Consortium Convenes for Seventh Progress Meeting

On the 12th of May 2026, the MOBICCON-PRO consortium gathered online for its seventh Progress Meeting and General Assembly, marking three and a half years since the project’s launch. The session brought together partners to share updates, align on progress, and map out the next steps for the project’s remaining one and a half years.

The meeting outcomes were highly positive, with several key milestones highlighted and shared. Partners reviewed the current TCC activities and future training plans and acknowledged the publication of practical Guidelines for identifying hazardous substances during preliminary demolition assessment (PDA), a valuable resource for consultants, auditors, and demolition companies. A standout operational achievement was also reported: the Mobile Pilot Plant at Kremikovtsi processed more than 55,000 tonnes of construction and demolition waste (CDW) in its first year of operation.

On the technical and innovation front, partners shared new optimisation results and notable advances in testing innovative construction products made from recycled CDW, alongside progress in demonstrating and validating MOBICCON-PRO’s solutions in real environments. An update was also provided on preparatory activities at the site in Pirot, Serbia, where the mobile installation will be relocated at a later stage of the project.

The MOBICCON-PRO project continues to advance circular economy practices and promote sustainability in the construction sector, turning demolition waste into a valuable resource. With eighteen months still ahead, the consortium remains firmly on track to deliver impactful, lasting results.
