IDEA Consult (Brussels) provides independent advice to organizations and governments at all levels: local, intermediate, regional, federal and European. Our baseline “Thinking Ahead” reflects IDEA’s unique value proposition:

Over the last years, IDEA Consult developed extensive expertise related to the following aspects:

  • Value chain analyses, market and sector analyses, e.g. construction and demolition waste, plastics, non-scrap metallic waste, certified wood, renewable energy sub-sectors.
  • Business model development and policy formulation e.g. for promoting investments in CDW recycling, industrial symbiosis and product-service-systems.
  • Policy evaluations and impact assessments e.g. non-scrap metallic wastes, litter, fly-tipping, backfilling.
  • Information and data collection from existing and new sources through online surveys, data reviews, meta-analyses, and big data techniques – in particular, web-scraping.
  • Indicator development and data analysis for various material and waste streams and markets and the interaction with energy savings and renewable energy production.
  • Analyses and reviews on digitalisation and its effects on industry within the context of Green Deal and global competitiveness.
  • Stakeholder interaction through interviews, expert panels, workshops and targeted communication e.g. the support to the Level(s) initiative.

Fostering inter-regional cooperation in the context of the smart specialisation platform for energy covering sustainable buildings and support to the EU strategy development in the area of additive manufacturing (AM) technologies in cooperation with top EU companies and organisations in AM/3D-Printing.
