The Economic Policy Institute (EPI) is a Bulgarian non-governmental, politically independent and not-for-profit think tank, founded in 1997. The mission of EPI is to contribute to utilizing the full potential of Bulgaria by enhancing the competitiveness of its economy and increasing the efficiency of its public institutions.
EPI works at the intersection of economy and public policy increasingly in light of EU’s climate strategies and targets and their respective socioeconomic repercussions. In these and other related fields EPI monitors domestic debates, conducts economic research and interdisciplinary analyses, delivers policy recommendations, encourages public discussions and raises awareness among decision-makers, civil society and other stakeholders.
EPI’s organizational and its individual experts’ expertise related to this proposal range from providing regular economic and construction sector research over organizing public and outreach events to training public officials in holding public consultations including stakeholder mapping and analysis.
